Bauxite is the principal ore of aluminium and is composed mainly of hydrous aluminium oxides and aluminium hydroxides. It is a weathering product of aluminous rocks formed through intense leaching in tropical and subtropical regions, a process known as laterization.
The bauxite is heated at very high temperatures through a process known as calcination, resulting in Calcined Bauxite with enhanced hardness, strength, and high-temperature resistance. Due to these properties, Calcined Bauxite is widely used in SAW flux and other industrial applications.
